2 NEW ALBUMS in a DUAL RELEASE

DUST TO DUST BLUES

&

ACT ONE: PIANO MUSIC FROM  THE THEATER

Available November 14 at CD Baby, iTunes, amazon.com, most digital outlets and through LOUIS' STORE

In DUST TO DUST BLUES, Louis’ second solo album, a father/son Brooklyn to Chicago road trip sets off a 14-song meditation on the nature of memory, loss, home, commitment, family and the indefinite nature of time and faith. Backed by a stellar band of New York City musicians, the songs reflect the unique blend of American roots, jazz, blues, pop and classical influences that is the essence of Louis’s musical style.

“[In] the literate, sincere "Dust to Dust Blues", Rosen soulfully mines his past… “I seek out the holiness here in the wilderness…” which echoes like a classic, folk refrain… (Cabaret Scenes/Broadwayworld.com).

The second half of this unusual dual release is ACT ONE: PIANO MUSIC FROM THE THEATER. This one offers a musical change of pace for Louis’ audience—an album of purely instrumental music. It takes its title from the "Act One Suite in Six Parts for Solo Piano" from the 2014 Tony-nominated Lincoln Center Theater production of James Lapine's "Act One”, and includes works that, as Louis writes in the liner notes “…cover a span of time that nearly bookends my composing life. The operative word in that sentence is ‘nearly’—for there’s still much more to come.”

Each and every piece on ACT ONE is immensely evocative...A highly pleasurable CD showcasing diverse influences, talent, and imagination. I recommend listening with eyes closed.” (The New York Press Club Award Winning website, “Woman Around Town.”)
